Addictions can be reversed, what is necessary is the early detection and seeking help.

Unbridled craving for various substances is becoming a growing issue in our society. This is because teenagers and adults are becoming more and more inclined towards the various kinds of intoxications.

Hence, as a result, several addiction treatment centres have come up within the last few decades. However, the problem arises when we are unaware of the type of assistance we require as there are various kinds of treatment facilities available.

In this article, you will learn about the various options available at an addiction treatment facility.

Addiction Treatment – Which Centre to go With?

The different types of treatment are strategized based on the intensity of the addiction. There are different programmes each for medium density, medium to high density and high density. The addiction treatment facility in Vancouver, BC includes group or individual counselling. It may also include educational or vocational training, etc. Let us look at some of the common types of programs included in these three categories.

Low to Medium Density Patients

People categorised under this label do not need to get admitted to the rehab. They have to basically attend fixed hours of treatment every week while they can go on with their normal lifestyle. Also, in many cases you can fix the time for the counselling session in the evening after your school or work. This is known as the Outpatient programme.

Medium to High Density Patients

These patients have less to more critical symptoms hence there are three treatment program options. They will be admitted according to their behavioural signs.

Intensive Out Patient

This is quite similar to the framework of the outpatient treatment but the hours of counselling increases. The time slots here are quite flexible and you can opt for evening or late afternoon time to complete your school, college or work before coming to the centre. This flexibility in timings can also help those patients who require more than one service.

Partial Hospitalisation

As the intensity of the addiction rises, the hours per day will increase. Similarly, in this case you need to visit the doctor every day for a fixed time. You need not get fully admitted for the treatment rather you can choose your convenient time. This is especially suitable for people dealing with other mental illnesses as well.

Rehabilitation

As the name itself suggests, patients in this addiction treatment facility need to stay in these centres for a given time which solely depends on your progress report; generally, it ranges from a few months to a year. In some cases, any kind of external contact might be prohibited. Hence make sure you are properly reading the terms and conditions.

High Density

This is obviously the maximum stage of addiction. In these cases, patients might be required to be hospitalised. The two programmes under this category are,

Inpatients

These are patients with serious conditions who are required to be hospitalised in the special units. They are treated with both detox and various other rehab facilities.

Medications

Those patients who are physically dependent on hardcore drugs like nicotine opium, etc. need special medication. However, other treatments like counselling, learning lifestyle skills, etc. are also included.

Wrapping Up

Addictions can be reversed, what is necessary is the early detection and seeking help. A good addiction treatment facility in Vancouver offers these services. Hence, if you know anyone who is in need then immediately help them before the condition worsens.
