He enrolled in Yeshwantrao Mohite College, a local college not part of his initial plan. The transition from a Marathi-medium school to an English-medium college wasn’t easy. Nilesh found it difficult to keep up with his classmates who had better command over the English language. The pressure of academic life, compounded by the challenges of adapting to a new environment, made Nilesh feel out of place. Yet, he continued to push forward. He spent long hours studying, revising, and improving his language skills.
Despite his tireless efforts, Nilesh’s first year of college ended in failure. He failed multiple subjects, and his confidence took a huge hit. Nilesh worked even harder, and by the time he completed his 12th grade, he had earned a 60%—a significant achievement considering the obstacles he had overcome.

In 2015, Nilesh made the bold decision to start Aaryavarta Technologies with just ₹2 lakh in savings. The early days were tough. The company’s first big break came when it took on a project to develop a game based on the Bollywood film Singh is Bling. Despite the challenges, the project was completed in just two months. This was a huge achievement for a young company with limited experience.
