The global leader in bearings and mechanical power transmission products, The Timken Company held a "green new city" Workshop on volunteer activities in Shanghai Jinding school in November 24, 2016.This activity is working with JA China (international youth achievement) for primary school students in grade three to four short-term education courses,and marks the end of Timken's 2016 Volunteer Program.
Twenty-four employee volunteers from the Timken office in Shanghai lead the students to learn about the current state of the earth and sustainable development as well as the resources and energy needed for urban development by exploring and discussing ecology and energy.Volunteers help students realize that changing their lifestyle can have a positive impact on the the whole city and even the entire earth, and establish a preliminary understanding of environmental protection and sustainable development through interactive teaching activities in simple terms.Throughout the course, 108 students were enthusiastic and showed the strong interest of extracurricular knowledge.
