Detroit, MI – August 6, 2024 – Southeastern Michigan University is thrilled to announce the introduction of two new programs in Biotechnology and Environmental Science, designed to align with emerging industry trends and address pressing global challenges.

The Biotechnology program will offer specialized courses in genetic engineering, bioinformatics, and biopharmaceuticals. Students will benefit from hands-on laboratory experience and internships with biotech firms, preparing them for careers in a field that is at the forefront of scientific advancement and innovation.
The Environmental Science program focuses on understanding and solving environmental issues such as climate change, pollution, and conservation. Students will engage in field research and projects aimed at developing sustainable solutions and policies to protect the environment.
