Ingredients:
• 2 cups of milk
• 5 bread slices (edges removed)
• 4 tbsp sugar

• 1 tsp of butter
• Chopped nuts or choco chips – for garnish (optional)

Instructions:
• In a small bowl, take ½ cup of cold milk from the total 2 cups.
• Add custard powder and cocoa powder to it.
• Mix well to form a lump-free slurry.
• In a saucepan, bring the remaining 1½ cups of milk to a gentle boil.
• Add sugar and stir until dissolved.
• Lower the heat and slowly add the cocoa-custard mixture to the milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
• Cook on low heat, stirring continuously until it thickens (about 3–5 minutes).
• Add butter if using and mix well.
• Cut the bread slices into small cubes or tear them by hand.
• Layer the pieces in a serving dish or individual bowls.
• Pour the warm chocolate custard over the bread pieces, making sure they are fully soaked.
• Gently press with a spoon so the bread absorbs the custard mixture.
• Let the mixture come to room temperature.
• Refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours until chilled and set.
• Garnish & Serve:
• Top with nuts, chocolate chips, or a dusting of cocoa powder before serving.
