Albion Online's System

Current system: Bigger opponent wants your territory - you have to fight gvgs as a defender every day.

Current system:

Bigger opponent wants your territory - you have to fight gvgs as a defender every day. Eventually your opponent got tired of losing or you lose your territory. You have an option to counterattack though, and the size of your opponent doesnt matter - only quality of gvg teams you can field. If you lose - you have Cheap Albion Online Gold to launch an attack from camp - eventually your opponent no matter how big he is will have guard down, and you will be able to fight GVG and recapture territory you lost(or some other for that matter). Your big opponent also need to field his gvg teams for defense of his own territories, so its very possible the team he sends against you isnt that good.

New system:

Bigger opponent wants your territory - you have to fight gvgs as a defender every day. Eventually your opponent got tired of losing or you lose your territory. Only now no counterattack possible - your bigger opponent just chancels any attempt with his numbers in OW. If you lose - you will never recapture it - once again any attempt is aborted in OW. And your opponent dont need GVG teams for defense - he defends in OW, so you are faced with better GVG teams.

Explain to me how its easier to defend in new system?
I really dont understand, how come you dont come up with these scenarios when you design the GVG mechanics. Or if you do how come you find these scenarios desirable.

I'm going to HOPE that this brainstorming you SI guys are doing is based on a TON of changes you guys have already made to your internal builds that we aren't at all aware of. Not tweaks... I mean new features, new map, and new ways to enjoy the game as a smaller group. If this GvG change was made today, you would literally squash any remaining small guilds playing the game. Right now you're either a group of 5-10 against the world or you're allied with 1000 other people. There's no in-between.

Either SI is completely out of touch with how the game is currently running (which can easily happen for game devs who are developing and not actually playing), or they have a massive rework coming that will make these proposed changes actually make sense.
I really really hope the latter is accurate. If not, then it's very troubling to think that the devs are so out of touch with true state of things in-game.
