Do You Know The Difference Between Lemon Buyback and Branded Titles?

Buyers of used cars can, unfortunately, find themselves in possession of lemon law buyback titles or branded title buyback lemon vehicles.
You must have come across the terms lemon title buyback and branded title buyback lemon. So, what do those terms signify? Read on to know more.

Lemon law buyback title – Though most people think otherwise, the lemon law does apply to used cars. A lemon law buyback title vehicle is one that has been purchased back by the manufacturer due to warranty issues.

To be eligible for a lemon buyback title, the car in question must have a warranty-covered defect within a specific length of time or driven miles after purchase, and the manufacturer's repair attempts have failed. Your car (new or old) may qualify as a lemon if it's been to the shop at least three times for the same issue.

Branded title buyback - A automobile with anything other than a "clean" title and written off as a large loss is referred to as a "branded title buyback lemon." This could be due to a multitude of factors such as a fire, flood, theft, or the most common, an accident.

"Salvaged," "total loss," "flood," "water," or "fire" might all be used as a title. In Georgia, for example, a vehicle is considered salvaged if:

1. For the vehicle to be usable again, two or more component elements must be changed.

2. A "total loss claim" has been paid by an insurance company, but the car has not been repaired.

3. An imported automobile was damaged during the shipping process and was never fixed.

In Georgia, salvaged automobiles cannot be legally driven on public highways, but salvaged vehicles that have been rebuilt or repaired and have passed the Rebuilt Inspection Process can be given a rebuilt title.

Car owners stuck with lemon law buyback titles and branded title buyback lemon can get compensated through the vehicle buyback programs.
