1888 Press Release - Love, Sex and Romance is once again on tap this Valentine's Day as 12 amazing films take center stage at this must attend event.

New York, NY - The 2016 Love Actually International Film Showcase (LAIFS), presented by New York Film Loft, today announced its films - a diverse group of 12 short films which is comprised of award-winning filmmakers, producers, iconic music artists and acclaimed actors. The 2016 Festival runs Sunday, February 14 from 6pm to 9pm at the legendary Downtown Community Television Center at 87 Lafayette Street, New York, NY.

Once again, this year's lineup consists of an amazing group of international films from around the globe. Countries represented this year include United States, United Kingdom and Canada.

The lineup includes the U.S. premiere of "Through the Pane", a film written and directed by Dawn Westlake. In "Through the Pane", the filmmaker's 87-year-old father shares reflections on life through panes of glass while facing the pain of losing his wife of 62 years. With 'cosmic perspective', he takes comfort in the rhythms of nature to cope with the unpredictable, non-linear qualities of grief.

Also showcasing at 2016 Love Actually is the mini doc "Adina Howard 20: A Story of Sexual Liberation" which shares Adina's story through her own words as well as the impact that she made during the 1990s and thereafter through the thoughts of fellow entertainers, educators, feminists, and fans.

The film gives an intellectual look into the inside of the highs and lows of the life a platinum selling artist, whose work has made a lasting impact despite the polarizing feelings towards her.

"Shevenge", which is directed by Buffy The Vampire Slayer's Amber Benson, will also be showcasing at this Valentine's Day film event. For three seasons, Amber played the iconic role of "Tara Maclay," learning from one of the industry's top directors, Joss Whedon.
