Women In Cloud’s Third Annual #empowHERacces Campaign Puts a Spotlight on Corporate ESG

1888PressRelease - Today, Women in Cloud (WIC) launches their third annual empowHERaccess campaign, a digital advocacy initiative aimed at generating greater economic access for women in technology.

The 2022 campaign will place a particular focus on accelerating corporate ESG goals to ignite equitable economic access, build a connected, inclusive community, and make the future of technology sustainable through policy-driven industry excellence that inspires purpose-driven leadership.

Over the past two years, the annual empowHERaccess campaign has focused on the financial, emotional and operational disruptions women technology founders have faced throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, while WIC’s 2020/2021 programming aimed to offer the access and opportunities women technology professionals need for recovery and continued success. This year however, WIC hopes to leverage the annual campaign to drive their goal of generating $1B net-new global economic access for women technology entrepreneurs by positioning them to attract ESG-focused investors, customers and stakeholders.

Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria are a set of standards for a company’s operations, and the 2022 #empowHERaccess campaign offers a powerful platform to showcase women and allies driving ESG initiatives through their tech solutions, investments, and corporate policies.

Through a digital spotlight series, awards ceremony and community building activations, this year’s campaign will recognize and connect the entrepreneurs, advisors, investors and advocates in the WIC network who are employing sustainable innovation and governance practices to create powerful transformations within the economy and environment.

The campaign will also bring together industry experts, corporate leaders, policy makers, and women tech professionals for a roundtable discussion to gather insights and establish recommendations on how to drive an amendment to the existing 51 per cent certification policy for the enterprise ecosystem to extend to any tech business with women ownership, or co-ownership, regardless of the owners’ share.

“The empowHERaccess campaign is a great opportunity for our partners and our community to highlight the collective impact and influence on the greater tech industry”, says Chaitra Vedullapalli, President of Women in Cloud. “It’s also a great opportunity for the companies to partner with Women In Cloud to advance corporate ESG through community development, digital transformation, DEI initiatives and policies to advance supplier networks and disrupt limiting industry standards that create barriers for women tech entrepreneurs.”

The campaign will run on Women in Cloud and corporate partner digital channels from April 22 - July 14, 2022, culminating with the #empowHERaccess Awards ceremony at WICxInspire, one of Women in Cloud’s signature networking events.
