Tips on how to decide which one to buy and how to install them

As we said, buy aluminum instead of wood. Aluminum stairs will cost more, but they are worth the money for providing peace of mind.

As we said, buy aluminum instead of wood. Aluminum stairs will cost more, but they are worth the money for providing peace of mind. Whether you buy one online or in a shop, be sure to leave the time to open the box (in the store or upon receipt) and make sure that the ladder is not damaged and that. Some things are far more frustrating than having a few friends to help you install the attic ladder and then open the box to find that the monstar ladders are damaged or some components are missing.

Manufacturers will say that 2 people can install one and two people. (I did it before). But my strong recommendation is to have 3 people, if possible, one upstairs in the attic and two to lift and hold the ladder in place. Using 3 people is likely to shorten the installation time by 1/2, it will be much easier for your assistants and will also make you much better off.

We recommend buying a normal warehouse ladders with a load of 300 or 350 lbs or a telescopic ladder with a load of 250 lb or more. You want to be able to support your weight and the weight of what you are carrying up or down the ladder. The telescopic ladder has a smaller pitch angle (that is, it's a direct upward and downward rise), so I do not think you need a high level of load as you would on a regular scale. If you replace one, the approximate size of the opening in which your previous staircase was located is very well defined by the model you are installing if you do not want to waste your time by resizing / reframing with the industrial ladders.

Similarly, the height of your roof will determine which floor stair model you will need. Most roofs will be between 7 'and 10'; but it may have a ceiling 10'-12 ', which will require buying a model with a longer staircase. The other function you want to have in your ladder, if possible, is the setting of leg adjustments. For comfort I would recommend you to choose a ladder that fits (tightly) into the ladder space you replace. Simply measure the approximate whole size (width and length at both ends of the hole) and specify variants that fit into this approximate whole size at monstarladders.com.au.
