The concept of the company brewed in Shruthi’s mind when she noted the problems faced by her husband for the funeral services of his maternal grandfather in 2014. So, she decided to set up a company that functions to handle sensitively all aspects related to ceremonies and processes following a death from embalming of dead body to conclusion of all the necessary rituals.
As a first step, she built up contacts with Vedic priests and hearse van drivers, remunerating them on a case by case footing. Then, in April 2015, the company got enlisted on the search portal – JustDial after which the company took off in catering to requests for funeral services.

The most common initial demand was for hearse vans. So, in 2016, the company bought 2 freezer boxes and one air-conditioned hearse van.
