Brandon Gardner grew up in New Mexico and later moved to Missouri to attend college. In college, he heard of many famous urban legends that enticed him enough to result in his debut novel, The House of Illusions.

Brandon has worked as a clinical therapist and a middle and high school counselor in the public school system.
