When asked what they meant by love being sticky notes, Kayla said she came up with this concept during their daily hustle. She stated, "While working two jobs and going to college, I was afraid that Mark would get tired of me and move on with his life, but he showed me that it was different. Every day, he would pack my lunch and always put a sticky note on it showing that he cared; then, I started putting sticky notes on his things, which pretty much became our special love language. This led us to understand that love can be something as simple as sticky notes."
The concept of love expression has been a long-standing debate, breaking off into multiple branches. Some believe that love only exists in acts of grandeur, such as expensive gifts, while others resonate with the idea that time and touch make up what love is. However, these authors explain that love is the act of caring, and expressing it requires the tiniest actions.

About the Authors
Mark Galaviz and Kayla Griffin met in undergraduate school. They had multiple classes together and quickly became the best of friends. Unknown to them, they both had applied to the same graduate program and were admitted into the same cohort. During their first year of study, they realized they had feelings for each other and began dating. They have been together ever since.
Mark is a national champion collegiate speech and debate team coach and is writing his first novel. Kayla has three master's degrees and is a visual artist specializing in figurative painting.
