The orientation ceremony for the fresh batches for 2016 of International College of Financial Planning (ICoFP) began with Mr. Ankur Kulshreshtha (the Academic Head) offering the opening statement followed by lamp lighting by the Management/Senior Mgmt. (heads of ICoFP).
The chief Mentor (Ms. Jai Vani Bajaj) then shed some light on creativity being her focus area for the organization inculcating in students the idea of exploring the plethora of opportunities extended by the college and instilling in them robust confidence to embark on their journey as professionals who are always expanding their learning base.
The ceremony was attended by many eminent personalities, industry experts, well renowned faculty members, partners and directors at reputed companies who provided intellectual erudition throughout the event.
MR. SANJIV BAJAJ, (Managing Director of Bajaj Capital Ltd) cultivated in students the knowledge about how can financial planning firms work on creating balance between ethics and profitability. The discussion was further continued by Mr. Anil Chopra (Group CEO and Director of Bajaj Capital), who shared his insights on 'The changing role of Financial Planners in Society.'
Later, Mr. Vikas Anand , (Director and head of Operations of the renowned Barclays Service center) joined him to equip students and others with his hands on experience on 'Possibility of complete automation using robotics in Financial planning'
The event was invigorated by Mr. K.K Bajaj (Chairman- Bajaj Capital, Founder, ICoFP) by sharing his perceptive and invaluable wisdom on ‘Evergreen future of financial sector’.
Mr. Sameer Mittal (Director at Ameriprise India) further enlightened the audience with his take on “Fundamentals of Financial Planning “. He also augmented the discussion by proving the audience with his insights about the edge of ICoFP students in financial Planning world compared to other financial planners.
Mr. Tanwir Alam (CEO Fincart) added the vigor to the event by indicting the zeal in all present about ‘Shaping of career’.
As the final and one of the most influential speakers of the event, Mr. Rajiv Bajaj (Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Bajaj Capital Ltd., the Founding Chairman of Financial Planning Standards Board, India) discussed about ‘Changing landscape of Financial Planning’ with the students giving invaluable insights on the present scenario vis-à-vis prior years. Mr. Ankur Kulshreshtha concluded the event by delivering the vote of thanks.
