Chrysin is a flavonoid with anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antitumor effects. Chrysin is a central benzodiazepine receptor ligand that has potential anxiolytic activity. It blocks COX-2 gene expression, PGE2 production, and hydroxyl radical formation in LPS-induced RAW 264.7 cells.
