Celebrity Chef Murph AKA K.T. Murphy of Washington TWP, New Jersey, Has teamed up to fight against hunger in Philadelphia PA. Joins with Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission found at 13th & Vine Streets, Philadelphia, PA. Some history, Mission was established and started with a simple goal in mind: to serve breakfast every Sunday to Philadelphia’s poor, Since the Mission’s founding in 1878, Sunday Breakfast has grown to be the largest emergency shelter in Philadelphia. Every day, 365 days a year they feed the city’s homeless men, women, and children. They are the only provider of the three free meals a day in the city, Becoming a safe haven for the homeless community and to anyone who walks through their doors.
Why this organization??? There are over 6000+/- humans homeless in Philly. All bleed red blood, and breathe the same air, one human can take care of people, and people can solve problems. This is the trenches of the war on hunger, thus this is where I belong. As a young child in 1960’s, I lived in shelters for battered woman and children. You can help? Will you help?
