Christophers’ Family Funerals, are an independent, family-run funeral home who have been serving the local Devon community for over 175 years. As part of their funeral arranging services, they organise charitable donations and tributes to a charity of the family's choice.
Mourners, as well as friends and family of the deceased can then donate as much as they wish to the chosen charity. Christophers’ Family Funerals will then organise the donations to be sent to the chosen charity on behalf of the deceased and their family.
Since January 2022, Christophers’ Family Funerals have raised money for various charities in and around Devon and the UK, including: Totnes Caring Ltd, Animals In Distress, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Epilepsy Action, Oxfam and Rethink Mental Illness to name a few.
Tom Meek, Funeral Director and Managing Director of Christophers’ Family Funerals, had this to say about the achievement: “We are so thankful to all of those who have donated money to various causes and charities this year, leaving tributes and donations in memory of their loved ones.
“Here at Christophers’ Family Funerals, we are passionate about providing the utmost care and service to all the families that come to us, as well as the wider community. By helping to provide donations to various charities we can help support their ongoing hard work and dedication, either here in Devon or further afield.
“We feel incredibly fortunate to be able to help these families through some of the most difficult times of their lives and even more fortunate that through those times we have been able to raise money to help others in need too. £21,000 pounds is a huge amount and we are incredibly grateful to be a part of such a wonderful community. Thank you to all who have donated this past year.”
