One of the newer and more charming stories working its way around the web is a young man's clever way of promoting his crowd funding project. Although his reason for the project is serious (a pituitary brain tumor) his sense of humor and candidness about the whole situation is part of the appeal.

"I wanted to stand out from all the other projects out there. I figured the best way to do that was just to be my weird self and try to give anyone that bothered to donate something for their trouble." he said. The profile picture for the project gives you a taste of what you are in for, and the description continues the fun. Although he isn't sure how much he will actually need or if people will even visit his project, he is hoping for the best.
