Charleston is centrally located to reach as much as 60% of the U.S. population within 24 hours including important industrial regions of the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic states making it a strategic transloading and distribution location.

Additionally, the surrounding southeastern manufacturing base has developed a growing need for the import of raw materials and subsequent export of finished goods.
