[Midvale, 05/15/2017] — Collectiv Academy, a cosmetology school in Salt Lake City, Utah, offers a basic cosmetology program aimed at educating aspiring hairdressers. The program introduces and guides students in the following areas: hairdressing, modern hair cutting, manicuring and aesthetics, coloring, and barbering. With these techniques, students will be able to comply with the level of cosmetology proficiency required by the state of Utah.

Helping Students with Cosmetology Tools and Opportunities

Students enrolling in the basic cosmetology program of Collectiv Academy will receive professional, salon-level tools that will last beyond their time in the school. Some of the tools provided are clips, brushes, combs, a clipper kit, hot thermal tools, and a high-grade steel scissor kit. The school will treat students as a professional from day one of the program.

Apart from the professional-grade tools, the school will also provide opportunities to help students grow in their chosen profession. One such opportunity is Hair Camp. This final educational process gives senior students a chance to spend time with industry professionals. These professionals will guide and evaluate students’ cosmetology techniques and even offer insights for continued growth well after the student finishes the program.

The school also offers other opportunities to help students grow artistically. It encourages students to join local events, beauty industry shows, and photo shoots, as well as attend national guest artist demos and the yearly student hair soiree.
