Level in WOW to obtain Liadrin as Hearthstone hero
According to the newly updated post on World of Warcraft site, players who level a character to 20 in the game after 11 a.m. PST on March 11 will be able to gain a free hero called Lady Liadrin for use in Hearthstone. Basically, once you hit the level, a new Achievement, Fledgling Hero of Warcraft will be earned. This new achievement can unlock Liadrin automatically when you log in Hearthstone.
Note: Now there is a small bug that players cannot see the achievement, neither the Liadrin hero in Hearthstone. But don’t worry, Blizzard has recognized the issue and now they are working on a fix that should make sure to credit people who have earned the Achievement. Just make sure you leveled (not boosted) to 20 in the window of time.
The Achievement will not be rewarded retroactively
As we mentioned above, you need to hit level 20 after March 11 to unlock the achievement and earn the free hero. Thus, if you have had a level 20 character before that time, the reward won’t be retroactively. There were some complaints on this point, but safewow found an explanation reasonable that might make some sense - players who have a 20 level before are not really the ones that don’t play hearthstone. But making it not retroactively, it actually creates interest in hearthstone for people who don't play yet. Not sure if it is the real reason why Blizzard set such a limit, but it won’t take much effort to hit the level, so why bother? You can either make a new character, or level a existing character that you refused to make before due to some reasons.
