Before you begin the update, it’s worth backing up your iPhone or iPad – and you can do that in one of two ways. If you have a laptop or PC, you can use iTunes to backup your phone to the hard disk, or you can just use iCloud. It’s also best to have your phone fully-charged or connected to a power source, too. Once that’s done, head to Settings | General | Software Update and you should see iOS 9.3, along with some information. Underneath a button should say “Download and Install” if your phone hasn’t automatically downloaded the update yet – or just “Install” if it has. Click that and enter your passcode if prompted. After that, you’ll be given all the usual terms and conditions that come with an Apple update. Once you’re happy, click Agree.
The iPhone or iPad will then begin to update and you should see a “Verifying” message before your device resets and loads up.If you wish, you can also update your phone using your laptop or PC. Simply plug your device into your computer and make sure iTunes is loaded. In iTunes, click on the iPhone or iPad icon. You should see an option to update at the top of the summary screen, as well as an option to back-up just underneath. If you’re worried about your iPad or iPhone’s battery life or Wi-Fi connection, this could be the method to use.

The last time I remember holding an HP-branded phone in my hand, it had a slide-out keyboard and was running Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. We’ve come a long way since then – the HP Elite x3 is a handsome, curved slab with a sparkling 5.96in AMOLED screen. A pin-pricked strip of metal along the bottom edge is adorned with the Bang & Olufsen logo – there’s a pair of stereo speakers behind it – but while this looks much like any other flagship smartphone, the Elite x3 is a little out of the ordinary.
