A bunch of EA’s free-to-play PC games will be offline in 90 days, EA has announced, excluding Star Wars: The Old Republic. Instead, more content and updates will be brought into swtor in the future, including Season Ranked weapons and armor bound to Legacy.

Four of EA’s free-to-play titles will be taken offline

Based on the official statement, Battlefield Heroes, Battlefield Play4Free, FIFA World and Need for Speed World are closing down in the next few months.

“Some of our other PC free-to-play games are not as popular as they once were. So we find ourselves announcing the tough decision today that we are stopping development and winding down support for four PC free-to-play titles: Battlefield Heroes?, Battlefield? Play4Free, Need for Speed? World and FIFA World. These games will be live for another 90 days, after which they will go offline,” EA Studios executive vice president Patrick S?derlund said.

The only game given an official shutdown date is Battlefield Heroes. A blog post on its official website says the game will officially close on July 14. You will want to spend any in-game currency you have before July 14. EA IS NOT PROVIDING REFUNDS.
