Industry players are trying to keep pace with the host of technological upgrades and changes in the air conditioning industry. Just as LEDs have replaced old light bulbs and tubes, so has the energy efficient DC motor technology, also called EC (Electronically commutated) motors, taken over the role of traditional air conditioning motors that run the fans in indoor units. About three times more efficient than conventional motors, DC motors are expected to translate to large savings in electricity costs. Manufacturers have been tweaking the technology to overcome resonance challenges and deliver the best efficiency motor technology can deliver. Having gone through many years of incubation and development, the final product is expected to be reliable, durable, sustainable, affordable and easily replaceable.
Finpower has always been watchful of new developments, being the first to introduce new technology that brings value to its customers. We have been successfully examining these motors for over a year now, measuring responses for varying fluctuations of power and temperature. We qualified a few suppliers, who possess a deep understanding of the technology and are capable of supporting both normal and abnormal applications.
Finpower products are currently fitted with these motors and available ex stock. If a customer has an old Finpower unit installed, the company can supply the EC motors, seamlessly replacing and performing just like the old units. If there are any deficiencies in existing units, Finpower can also help enhance the motors to cover shortfalls, if any.
As always, Finpower looks forward to the valued support from its loyal customers and hope they will avail of the opportunity to facilitate healthier air quality and a comfortable environment.
