Despite delivering their keynote speeches at separate colleges, each acknowledged the honor, the anticipation, and the gravity of this moment for its participants as it represents a rite of passage for first-year Podiatric students. Dr. Cornelison emphasized the camaraderie and esprit de corps that the first year class’ white coats represent as they take their first steps together in their careers as podiatric physicians while Dr. Sheth not only echoed his comments but urged the students to leverage every opportunity to continue to learn, to devote to the study of podiatry and to push to make the field better.
