A rising product, Door Filter, is debuting on Home Depot shelves, sweeping condo
dust and the nation.

July 22, 2016 – As city populations rise city issues rise concurrently. The pollution surrounding most cities today is becoming a pressing issue for residents, especially condo dwellers who do not control their own vents. But what can an occupant do in this situation? There seems to be only one viable, elegant, and efficient solution, Door Filter. Door filter is an easy-to-install, low-profile fix to eviscerate dust and allergens from any apartment.

This under-the-door attachment seems impossibly efficient for it to clean a whole condo, but the technology that backs it is astounding. The basis of the design is that all air will eventually pass from room to room due to varying air pressures when the door is shut. This effect is utilized by Door Filter, ensuring that the particulate material in the air is trapped by a Polyester Merv 11 filter material and an equally rigorous activated carbon final filter. The Door Filter has a few added benefits: reducing light pollution, allowing hot or cold air to flow room to room, and muting unwanted sounds. In addition the Door Filter comes with double sided binding attached so the key installation step is to simply press it to the bottom of a door.

About Door Filter
Door Filter was conceived by racecar driver Andrew Bordin 7 years ago. He set out with the goal of using the fast, airflow optimized vents of racecars to help the health of others. To achieve this Andrew turned to a few esteemed schools: George Brown College's Centre for Construction and Engineering Technology (CCET) and the University of Toronto's Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department. These partners allowed Andrew the quality he strived for and gave him a forward-thinking mindset.
