[Minnesota, 08/24/2016] – The J Robinson Intensive Camps, LLC is a 10-day camp for high schoolers based in St. Catherine University in St. Paul, MN. It focuses on developing both physical and mental skills in players.

Intense Challenges Turn Boys Into Men

Camp leadership shares that the J Robinson Intensive Camps, LLC is a 10-day basketball retreat open for male athletes entering their freshman year of high school. Those entering their senior year are also welcome. Basically, 13 to 18-year-old young men are eligible for registration. The camp’s home is the St. Catherine University in St. Paul, MN.

“Life-challenging and life-changing — these two terms differentiate the J Robinson Intensive Camps, LLC from others. Training sessions are as intense as they can get, courtesy of the camp’s Army Ranger School-based philosophies,” says Camp Director Tyler Slick. He also added that the camp focuses on both physical and mental development; two qualities that make a great ball player. There are four workouts a day and they include hard practice, skill advancement, and intense physical conditioning.

Participants are in for fully packed days at the camp. Campers wake up at 6:15 am and undergo conditioning (running and/or weight training) activities first thing in the morning. Afterwards, breakfast is served. What follows is a series of activities that focus on technique/skills, hard scrimmages and drills, and live games until 9:00 pm. Lights are out at the camp by 11:00 pm.

The J7 Philosophy

Slick reiterates the patented J7 Philosophy that drives the J Robinson Intensive Camps, LLC. It focuses on the development of the following skills: discipline, dedication, sacrifice, hard work, responsibility, accountability, and service. According to him, this is what gives young athletes the right physical attributes, as well as the appropriate mindset to excel in the game.

This results in the development of ball players, who have a good mix of technical and mental skills, which will help them not only on the court but off the court as well. In turn, these boys grow up to be disciplined young men.
