Halal foods are one of the most important things in Muslims’ life throughout the globe. However, there is a certain level of uncertainty regarding the foods we see in retails stores given the high level of consumerism prevailing today.

This is where a professional halal certification agency steps in to help Muslims get satisfied with halal products. We see various products at a convenience store and some of them carry a certain halal certification indication in the form of a stamp of symbol. The certification is important as Muslims are strictly obligated to consume halal foods only.

There are plenty of other reasons as well to understand why halal food is important.

Why using a halal certification agency is important?

There are various aspects about halal food products different from the normal food people purchase and use. For instance, a halal certified meat is slaughtered in a unique way other than the meat that we see in the grocery stores. The Islamic ways mandates the animal to be slaughtered with a sharp object against its external jugular vein. The point is to make the animal feel as little pain as possible and get its body drained quickly.

Besides meat, there are other food products as well that fall under the halal and haram category. In other words, these products are free from anything coming out of pork elements or meat, this is because pork is haram for Muslims.

A halal certification agency will certify any product halal if it doesn’t contain alcohol or other constituents not allowed for consumption by the laws of Islam.

Unfortunately, there are some products claiming to be halal certified, but actually turn out to be not following the guideline laid for halal items, if not entirely haram. In short, the product are advertised or sold without blood completely drained out, as it too is haram for Muslims. And not sure whether the animal is slaughtered the right way as instructed in the religion. Do note that non-meat halal products are also acquired from halal-approved ingredients.

The entire point of certification is to make Muslims feel safe and convinced with the food they are consuming. Apparently, halal food market is thriving globally, and companies are increasingly investing in producing and selling the right food to the Muslim community worldwide. However, a reliable certification is important to ensure that slaughterhouses and manufacturers are following the right guideline for halal foods.

Unfortunately, halal certified companies encounter quite a hostile reception from anti-halal names in the industry. Some groups try to claim that halal food is promoting racism around the globe, in reality that is totally up to the consumers.

Overall, consumers are advised to inspect the authenticity and quality of the certified body before purchasing any halal food product or ingredient.
