[Tewksbury, 06/06/2017] – CAST Navigation takes pride in its impressive portfolio of simulation systems for Global Navigation Satellite and Inertial Navigation Systems. Their CAST-1000 GPS Simulator is useful in various military applications. It is available with P, Y, or M codes and GLONASS may be added to all channels.
Mobility In the Lab or in the Field
The CAST-1000 GPS Satellite Simulator from CAST Navigation provides the user with dynamic and repeatable GPS RF signals, making it easier to conduct baseline tests. Because of its small size, and portability, it can be used either in the lab or out on the field. Equipped with dual frequency GPS RF signal generation technology, a user can program and control the simulator in real time.
A Dual Frequency System
Being a dual frequency systems allows for ultimate accuracy by exactly specifying the ionospheric path and giving operators access to carrier-phase based measurements. The Simulator is capable of generating GPS signals with 8-12 satellites in view. In the standard configuration it simulates signals from satellites of P Code on L1 and L2, and C/A Code on L1.
A Highly Programmable System
Operators of the CAST-1000 can program the simulator and choose from a vast range of vehicle types, such as aquatic, terrestrial, airborne, and space-based. Through profile configuration, the user can create a trajectory by using included the 6-DOF dynamic profile data.
With help from the simulator’s performance evaluation module, users can compare raw data from the GPS navigation system with truth data from the simulator. The module can graphically show the true position of the vehicle for finishing post-test analysis.
