Despite being only 8, Skylar Dharma Schmitt has already published a book and is pledging to donate 50% proceeds of the sale to her Maple Village Waldorf School. Her innovative book, "Imagination Land" is the result of the endless imagination of a child, and the skill of an artist, Nicole Ichtertz.

One of the readers, Michelle Wilde says, “The illustrations have so many special little magical details that your eyes delight in following around the page. I loved sitting with my 5 year old son and exploring each image with excitement about the truly imaginative, surprising, and sweet things we would find. Skylar is a local of Long Beach, California. She is a 3rd grade student. After publishing this first book she set a goal to publish one book each year.
