April 24, 2016: Keith Murphy, popularly known as Chef Murph from Washington Township, NJ serve as volunteer cook regularly at soup kitchens and missions like St. Paul’s Church, Camden, NJ and soon at Cathedral Kitchen in Camden, NJ. He strongly believes that good food helps to take better decisions and he wants to aid people to learn the value of properly preparing food.

He has started a foundation called Humans For People, based out of the Sewell, NJ to save food from the food banks. He then arrange, cook and distribute this food to people in need, serving Camden, NJ and Philadelphia. Chef Murph is also moving his message on the Spanish Channel FM105.7 MEGA Program which is one of the US largest Spanish Radio Channels. He said that it was an honor and privilege to address hunger and speak about nutrition in his Spanish community.

After that he distributes fresh food collected by the Touch Food Pantry of Camden, NJ affiliated with Miguel owner of Miguel's Pharmacy in Camden, NJ. None of this would have been possible without the support of Gerald Davis Executive Director of the Touch Food Pantry.

Camden has been referred to as a food desert with numerous corner stores working by charging high costs for low quality foods. Touch New Jersey, Inc. is an organization that strives to offer a solution to these insufficiencies through its Food Pantry. Touch New Jersey works as an all volunteer-staffed food pantry that manages those difficulties in the greater Camden area and give the opportunity to shop as well as obtain a variety of meats, bread, dairy and dry goods on a weekly basis.
