The foregoing thoughts and believes of nature were described by a huge capacity of philosophers, but Emerson did it specifically. The aim of the current essay is to point out which features make Emerson’s views distinct from others.

The essence of the Emerson’s dispute is that philosophical idealism of matter as the phenomenal, but not a substantial thing criticized by Plotinus. However, that only showed the shame of adoption of idealism by Plotinus. First of all, Emerson’s imaginary inability to feel the value of experience led him to the unreachable and indefinable gap between his comprehension and his emotional response. Instead of human contact, he has found something meaning much more important for him and his ego – truth and justice. It helped him rationalize his personality and emphasize his values. His conscious view can be found in his early writings.

The symbol of Emerson’s generosity and virtuousness was the desire to deviate from the sensitive experienced world. Prepared mentally and psychologically to depart from the experience of the sense, the great poet proposed the readers to feel nothing exact nature. To characterize his point of the complexity of nature’s beauty, the following words are used: "Nothing is beautiful alone. Nothing but is beautiful in the whole." (Porte 460). Emerson has dealt with the world as a whole and, in the end, reproduced in the shape that was closer to his heart’s will. It seems to be self-centered thoughts, but he was also a man madly being in love with the beauty and morality, which were built in the ideal theory. His idealism is just an approval of the top significance of the moral principle; consequently, nature is the aspect of ethics. Nature, as a kind of self-justification, is a sign of romanticism New England had lived since its establishment.

In conclusion, Emerson is a universal and exclusive personality for his unlikeness with other poets. After reading his essay “Nature”, a naturalist may state, that nature is not nature, and creative artist concludes that sensitivity is highly important for the human life and craft. Being a philosopher, he was too many times misunderstood, but that’s a thing, having an extraordinary thoughts always mean to give something new to universe.
