Schenker Technologies verkauft ab sofort die mit Intels Skylake-Prozessoren aufgefrischten Gaming-Notebooks der Serie XMG Pro. Die neuen Modelle tragen die Bezeichnung XMG P506 beziehungsweise XMG P706 Pro Gaming und sind mit einem 15,6 Zoll respektive 17,3 Zoll großen IPS-Display ausgestattet.Sowohl im XMG P506 als auch XMG P706 setzt Schenker auf eine leistungsstarke Vierkern-CPU aus Intels 6. Core-Geneartion (Skylake). Entweder der Core i7-6700HQ oder der Core i7-6820HK werden angeboten. Dem Prozessor zur Seite stehen bis zu 32 Gigabyte DDR4-2133-RAM und eine Gaming-GPU von Nvidia vom Typ GeForce GTX 970M mit 6 Gigabyte GDDR5-VRAM oder GeForce GTX 980M mit 8 Gigabyte GDDR5-VRAM. Laut den Angaben von Schenker werden dabei auch die Nvidia-Technologien G-Sync und Optimus von beiden neuen Gaming-Notebooks unterstützt.

Das Surface Book ist Microsofts neuestes High-End-Convertible, das im professionellen Umfeld allen Aufgaben gewachsen sein soll. Es ist in der Grundkonfiguration mit demselben Core i5 Modell ausgestattet, das auch im Surface Pro 4 zu finden ist. Weil es das Surface Book aber in teureren Konfigurationen auch mit einer dedizierten Nvidia-GPU zu kaufen geben wird, setzt Microsoft bei diesen Ausstattungsvarianten nicht auf den Core i7-6650U, sondern den Core i7-6600U. Dieser verfügt über einen Basistakt von 2,6 Gigahertz und einen Turbotakt von 3,4 Gigahertz, integriert aber eine weniger leistungsfähigere GPU vom Typ Intel HD Graphics 520 mit einer Taktfrequenz von 1050 Megahertz.
