Das verbleibende MacBook Pro mit 13-Zoll großem Display und ohne Retina-Auflösung wurde in Sachen Hardware allerdings nicht verändert, ist dafür aber um 100 Euro im Preis gefallen.

Das eigentliche Update dreht sich allerdings um den MacBook Pro mit Retina-Display. Alle Varianten haben dabei die neuesten Intel Prozessoren der Haswell Generation verpasst bekommen, was bedeutet das die Taktfrequenz bei allen 13- und 15-Zoll Notebooks um 200 Mhz ansteigt. So findet sich im günstigsten 13-Zoll MacBook Pro Retina nun der Intel Core i5-4278U mit 2,6 GHz Taktfrequenz und 3,1 GHz im TurboMode wieder. Alle Retina MacBooks die bisher mit 4 GB RAM auskommen mussten, erhalten nun eine Verdopplung des Arbeitsspeichers und bieten damit in der Basisausführung bereits 8 GB RAM. Der Preis für das Einstiegsmodell bleibt mit 1.299 Euro allerdings unverändert. Das leistungsstärkste 13-Zoll MacBook Retina verwendet den Intel Core i5-43080U mit 2,8 GHz Basistakt und 3,3 GHz im TurboMode, der Flashspeicher bleibt wie bei allen Modellen unverändert und beträgt hier weiterhin 512 GB. Der Preis bleibt ebenfalls unverändert bei 1.799 Euro.

Das Tablet verfügt über einen 11,6-Zoll großes Display mit einer Auflösung von 1.920 x 1.080 Pixel. Als Betriebssystem kommt allerdings nicht Windows 8.1, sondern Android in der recht alten Version 4.2.2 Jelly Bean zum Einsatz. Zurückgreifen können Käufer auf 4 GB Arbeitsspeicher, eine 128 GB große SSD und eine Tastatur. Das Gewicht des LG Tab Book wird bei etwas über einem Kilogramm liegen. Das Tab Book verfügt weiterhin über zwei USB 3.0-Anschlüsse, einen Standard HDMI-Port für externe Displays und einen MicroSD-Steckplatz. Bisher ist das LG Tab Book nur für Korea angekündigt worden, Angaben zur Akkukapazität wurden hingegen noch nicht gemacht. Ob das Tab Book nach Europa kommen wird, darf zumindest angezweifelt werden.Während einige Besitzer von Lumia Smartphones noch auf die Verteilung des Updates mit Windows Phone 8.1 warten, zeichnet sich am Horizont bereits Update 1 für Windows Phone 8.1 ab. Das Update läuft dabei intern unter der Bezeichnung Windows Phone 8.1 GDR 1 und wird unter anderem eine Unterstützung für Smart Cases mit sich bringen. Mit der Verfügbarkeit sollte allerdings nicht vor dem vierten Quartal dieses Jahres gerechnet werden.
