Binns Kitchen, a premier kitchen and bath remodeling and design company based in Toronto, recently announced the company’s most recent award achievement. On April 9, 2016, the company was presented with three awards at the 13th Annual NKBA Ontario Design Competition Awards Gala, held at the Universal Event Space in Vaughan.

The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) is a non-profit trade association for the kitchen and bath industry. Over 60,000 distributors, retailers, remodelers, fabricators, and manufacturers throughout North America and Canada are members of the NKBA. The organization promotes professionalism and advocates for universal design, which supports the best use of kitchens and baths by physically challenged consumers. The NKBA Ontario Chapter is a sub-association of the National Kitchen and Bath Association.

Binns designer, Martin de Sousa, received first and second place in the Promotional Display category at the event for his beautifully designed showroom and trade show displays (pictured above).

“I am incredibly honored to have received such awards,” Martin says.

Martin has attended the Siematic Academy in Germany and has completed extensive training in the kitchen planning and design sector, having received his SieMatic-Akademie Diplom. At Binns, he is deeply involved in every aspect of the in-house design of the company’s showroom.

Binns designer, Beverley Binns, also received an award at the competition awards gala. Her small kitchen design won second place in the Small Kitchen category at the event. Beverley has received numerous awards throughout her 16-year tenure with the company, including the 2009 Bathroom & Kitchen Industry Awards – International Bathroom Design Award, a highly commended achievement.
