It’s great to check out who the No.1 choice is and for scuba diving Instructor training its Holly Macleod, Award Winning Platinum PADI Course Director in the Gili Islands, Indonesia

Gili Islands, Indonesia - During 2015 the PADI IDC in the Gili Islands saw more than 100 professional divers choosing to take the next step and complete the PADI Instructor Development Course with Award Winning Platinum PADI Course Director. There are many reasons why the program has become one of Asia’s most popular choices for becoming a scuba diving instructor.

Firstly the overall quality of the program. The PADI IDC Indonesia is fully conducted by Award Winning Platinum rated PADI Course Director Holly Macleod who has trained hundreds of Instructors and has won multiple awards for her personal overall commitment to scuba Instructor training and for her professionalism within the industry. The program takes place at Trawangan Dive which was the first ever PADI 5 Star IDC Career Development Center (CDC) to be established in the Gili Islands, Lombok and the entire Nusa Tenggara Barat region of Indonesia. Today the dive center remains the only PADI 5 Star CDC Center in Gili Trawangan.

Offering world class training facilities; the dive center has purpose built Instructor training classroom facilities, a dedicated training boat and 2 confined training swimming pools. Other facilities include a poolside bar and chill out area, a beachside restaurant and bar, watersports facilities, beach loungers and a swimming area directly off the beach. The dedicated Instructor training boat leaves directly from the beach in front of the dive shop and the instructor training sites are only a stone’s throw away; minimizing time associated with accessing the training sites and thus maximizing the training opportunities in the classroom, swimming pool and on the training site.

The program itself has been fine-tuned over the years with the aim and intent of providing the best possible educational experience in a fun and enjoyable way. Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod has drawn upon market research, her decade of worldwide diving experience and direct feedback from candidates to make the program what it is today; a fun and enjoyable educational experience that prepares candidates for the full range of challenges a new instructor can expect to meet within the industry.

Of course the Gili Islands is another draw with its combination of palm fringed white sandy beaches and fantastic diving. The tourism industry is rapidly growing on the islands and therefore the dive industry is growing exponentially with more people choosing to take dive orientated programs, this has led to an increase in dive shops and the need for more diving professionals. This creates the perfect conditions for new Instructors as there is a continuous need for new and enthusiastic staff.

The program itself is conducted on an 11 day schedule and now incorporates 5 days of preparation workshops before the course start date. Preparation workshops are designed to review the skills and knowledge learnt during the Divemaster Course and enable candidates make the best possible start on the PADI Instructor Development Course.

The Instructor Development Course offers a first class quality educational experience concentrating on the PADI philosophy and teaching approach and how to organize and conduct the full range of PADI programs. During the course students will participate in Classroom, Confined and Open Water environments.

During Classroom sessions candidates will learn about the business of diving, marketing, sales, risk management, dive acquisition, PADI Standards and Procedures and how to organize and conduct the individual PADI programs that they will be eligible to teach. In confined water students learn about organizing students to benefit learning, conducting entry level programs, rescue diver course exercises and presenting their own confined teaching presentations. In Open Water candidates learn skills from the rescue dive course and Adventures in Diving Programs as well as presenting their own Open Water Teaching Presentations.
