Wedding holiday packages have grown in popularity over the past few years and continue to grow in the third quarter of 2023. Couples choose to have their wedding in scenic locations, along with popular tourist destinations, often combining their wedding celebration with their honeymoon, while offering themselves and guests a holiday experience.

A few years ago, the world was gripped by the coronavirus pandemic that saw a loss of close to $150 billion in marriages around the world, though it has recovered substantially since. With the average budget being in the region of $35,000 for wedding holiday packages in 2023, the wedding destination market is expected to grow to more than $78 billion in the next few years. On average there is approximately three hundred and fifty thousand marriage deals purchased each year with the average honeymoon being around eight days.

The top wedding holiday destinations include the Dominican Republic and Jamaica, along with Hawaii, the Bahamas and the US Virgin Islands. Couples choosing American deals are drawn towards California, Florida and Nevada with ninety percent of couples choosing a destination with the best climate.

The wedding industry sees an average spend of around $16 billion around the world each year. While the cost per person is more for destination weddings, the weddings are more intimate, which means that the couple can pay around the same amount they would for a wedding at home.
