London Institute of Photography (LIoP) is offering a Pro Photography Course for exactly those people who want to push their limits and break out in a direction that is more fulfilling, creative and enjoyable than the daily rat run.
“This is the course that can change your life,” says Holger Pooten, Director of LIoP. “It’s the fast track to moving from complete beginner to professional photographer in as little as 10 weeks.”
The course is structured to maximise flexibility for those who work during the day with weekend and evening courses on offer. Students can take up to 9 months to complete the course, depending on their commitments and schedule.
“Our new course format offers flexible study schedules to accommodate a range of life circumstances,” says Pooten. “Full-time, after-hours or weekends-only are all possibilities for aspiring photographers. There is no reason why life should get in the way of your creative aspirations.”
The LIoP Professional Photography Course is taught by award-winning, professional photographers who all have a passion for teaching and a solid background in the more specialised aspects of professional photography.
“There are ten modules to be completed in the full course,” explains Pooten. “You will cover the foundations of photography, fashion photography, portrait photography, street and documentary photography, still life photography, Photoshop for photographers, Lightroom training, web design for photographers as well as portfolio production and printing.”
The comprehensive course includes regular talks by inspirational guests who have produced award-winning work in their field. Extensive exposure to the profession of photography gives participants a broad view of the field as well as insider tips that are both useful and interesting.
“Our teachers and guest speakers are all well known in the field and have extensive experience in their field of professional photography,” says Pooten. “They are also passionate about transferring their skills to students who are keen to take on all the challenges the field of photography involves.”
With class sizes limited to eight students per class, students can be sure they will receive personalised attention to best meet their needs and help them to achieve success in producing professional and captivating images by the end of the course.
“Students who complete the course will have a finished, printed portfolio of their work which they can use to expand their career options, or simply keep as a reminder of what they are capable of,” says Pooten.
