Slovenia, Kranj – Le-tehnika attended the SPIE 2018 conference in Orlando, Florida, USA, held April 16-19, 2018. During this leading global technical conference, Le-tehnika showcased their latest innovations on cryogenic cooler to a new audience in the USA. Special interest was shown by potential customers in the market proven Stirling rotary type cryocooler and in the new actively controlled Joule Thomson cooler, which is capable to working at higher sensory temperatures (around 100 K).

Stirling coolers can be integrated into several kinds of cryogenic systems and can be used for gas leakage detection or as gas cooler. Le-tehnika also offers customized solutions of cryocoolers based on customers’ requirements. Technologies used by Le-tehnika for cryocooler production also integrate well with and support high temperatures, optics, gas liquefaction, radiation detection, superconductivity, and many more.

Le-tehnika operates several high-tech laboratories for the production cryocoolers, and these cryocoolers are being used in various fields of industry, including surveillance, instrumentation, telecommunications, and reconnaissance applications. They serve as coolers for infrared detectors in the area of defense (for air to ground missiles), and medical and special equipment. For the purpose of surveillance, cryogenic coolers can be used in high precision and high speed IR cameras, and for hand held night vision cameras. They can also be used for border control to effectively control border long range night cameras.
