“The marketing communications arena is a wide stage teaming with differentactors and writers but they all fundamentally have the same scriptwhich is to try to persuade the audience that their one product, one service or one brand is better than its competitors”, says Tim Entwisle, the Principal of Madrigal Communications.

The marketing communications world is ever changing with developments in digital technologies and new ideas on how to use them. It requires an innovative mind to stay in front of the competition with creative ways to communicate brand superiority. We also need to keep up with how audiences are interacting with words, documents and other communications tools that are not on-line.

One of the biggest failure she sees is people writing business proposals and other documentation as formal, text-heavy and descriptive documents that aim only to appeal to supposedly rational, logical readers. This is a big mistake, he explained. People in business, although rational and logical are also creative and emotional, and not to overlook being time-poor, so they respond to good presentation and new, creative ways of giving them the information they need.
The information and communication world is changing rapidly and becoming more creative and less formal. Therefore we need to approach ideas and concepts creatively and avoid presenting content that is only functional because it is perceived as dull and boring. Dull content loses the audience making it ineffective in engaging and persuading.

Madrigal Communications’ people are very aware of the changes happening with the digital age and make sure they keep up with new methods of expressing a brand’s advantages and objectives in a creative way whether that is online or in print (or a mixture of both).

They advise their clients not to neglect creative presentation of their important information even if it is traditionally presented in a conservative way. There are many ways of getting cut-through by being more creative whether that is in mass-market advertising or in producing a technical document with a limited audience.

We thank Tim Entwisle for his insights and wish all luck and success to Madrigal Communications in pursuing the more creative approach in the business communications field.
