Uhde's scope of supplies includes the process licence, major components of the engineering package, supply of the electrolysers, and assistance with the construction and commissioning of the plant.

Apr 2010 - Bayer MaterialScience signed a contract with plant engineering company Uhde to build a new plant for chlorine production based on common salt. The plant, which will have an annual capacity of 20,000 metric tons and built at Chempark Krefeld-Uerdingen in Germany.

November 2008- At BISS (Bayer Integrated Site Shanghai), Bayer Material Science has started a new hydrochloric acid electrolysis plant to supply the 350,000 tonnes/year MDI train with chlorine.
