All piping systems have a P trap. This could be the where the blockage is located. This is caused by an accumulation of debris over a period of time. To unblock it you start by unfastening the P-Trap from the drainpipe. When it is loosened, clean it out then put it back in place.

Home remedies for blocked pipes

Drain cleaner can be used to unclog blocked drainage. You can buy this from your local hardware or home improvement store. A drain snake is a simple tool that can also be used to unclog small blockages.
Plunging can also work when you need to unblock a blocked drain. They come in all shapes and sizes to fit the size of the drain that you need to be unclogged.

Baking soda and vinegar can be used to clear clogged drains. You start by pouring hot water down the drain to loosen any debris that will be stuck on the wall. This should be followed by half a cup of baking soda. Let this rest for 10-15 minutes to allow the hot water and baking soda to erode the grime and get rid of the blockage.
Mix one cup of vinegar with an equal amount of boiling water and pour down the drain. This will loosen any other remaining debris. After 10 minutes, wash down the drain with more hot water. If there is a lingering smell which can mean that the blockage is not fully eroded, you can repeat this process as many times as you would like until you get the results you want.
