"Are you searching to take MBBS admission in tamilnadu? We provide the best guidance and tremendous opportunities to study in best mbbs colleges in tamilnadu.

Approximately 150 MBBS seats have been surrendered by Tamil Nadu for admission under all India quota which still remains vacant and has been returned to the state. They will be counted in for the second round of counseling in the state along with the seats remaining at the self-financing universities after the first round of counseling in the state.

Every year, each state surrenders 15% of the MBBS seats in the government institutions for the admission of students from across the country. This year Tamil Nadu has surrendered 550 MBBS seats. After the first round of counseling, only 10% of students have confirmed their seats in the colleges. Nearly 25% of seats are still vacant after the second round of counseling.

The formal announcement about the number of seats is yet to happen.
“The late date for students to join colleges allotted to them during the second round is July 25th. We have asked the dean of all medical colleges to write to us. We are yet to compile data.” said selection committee secretary G Selvarajan. Data shows that 150 seats are still vacant.

These seats could come as a boon to students who are still awaiting, admission. However counselors and parents say unless the Center changes the procedure of admission, many seats would remain vacant. 98 seats were returned to Tamil Nadu in 2018 and 107 seats in 2017.”There are about 8 seats vacant in the Madras Medical College. Many allotted seats in round 1 would demand an upgrade. There will be confusion,” Said R Sathya Narayan whose son is waiting to get enrolled for MBBS this year.

Health secretary Beela Rajesh has asked the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University to take an appropriate decision to include Shri Muthukumaran Medical College. The university was earlier affiliated to colleges as CMDA issued lock, seal and demolition notice to more than 14 buildings, 7 blocks including a library, hostels and residential quarters for doctors and nurses. The college management department promised to set right with all the deficiencies when inspected by a health department. 150 seats would be added to the seat matrix when the university approves.
