PRESS RELEASE
TRAGEDY INSPIRES TRIUMPH
Ian Halfpenny was trapped in the rat race, working 60-80 hours a week, living pay cheque to pay cheque, and giving his family and friends his leftover energy.
When he step-father died of cancer, aged just 61, it was Ian’s wake-up call. He realised that if he didn’t make major changes in his life, he may never ever get to fulfill his dreams.
Ian, aged 39, is now releasing a book charting his journey from having - £61.13 in his bank account to owning a Multi-Million pound property portfolio, and gained financial freedom in just 22 months. Ian hopes to inspire others to take the same path, by showing them the same steps that he took himself.
He said: “I decided to challenge the way we live our life and to boycott the norm. I didn’t attend any expensive courses to learn how to become a property investor. I mostly read books and studied. Now, I want to help other people to do the same and live their dream life now.”
His new book The Brant Effect will be launched on 5 September. This documents the lessons and legacy of his step-father, as well as showing readers a new way to live and challenges society’s “norms”.
Ian left school with just 2 GSCEs and worked hard trying to keep his head above water financially before he realised that he had everything backwards, that society was dictating a lifestyle that conflicted drastically with his real priorities in life.
As a result, he was able to escape the rat race, build financial freedom and retire in his 30s – giving him the opportunity to invest his time into what really matters, and he now wants to help others do the same.
“Is success really your job title, income, assets or work responsibilities? Surely life is about moments
and memories, not money and materialism,” says Ian.
