[Toowong, 11 October, 2016] – Regatta Hotel, a historic hotel in Brisbane CBD, will host the annual Melbourne Cup luncheon in their Boatshed Restaurant on Tuesday, November 1.

It is a three-course luncheon and three-hour premium beverage package with Moët champagne, plasma screens, extra TAB facilities, sweepstakes and live music. It includes access to the hotel’s Main Bar, Courtyard and Walrus Club for live entertainment and DJs starting at 3:30 PM. The tickets are $165 per person.

Boatshed Restaurant

Aside from luncheons such as the one for the annual Melbourne Cup, Boatshed Restaurant is ideal for corporate or networking functions. The space, with a seating capacity of 220 guests, provides state-of-the-art audio-visual facilities. It also has direct access to the hotel’s iconic verandas.

Other Facilities

The Walrus Club, which holds up to 250 guests, has a 1920s theme. It features dimly lit nooks, arm chairs, lounges, tall tables, candle light and lamps. The Main Bar serves old-fashioned counter meals and snack for every generation, and the Courtyard has its share of delectable bites as well.

Currently, Regatta Hotel’s Executive Chef is Anthony Fullerton — an industry veteran with over 30 years’ experience. Meanwhile, the Maître d’Hôtel is Michael Platsis, who has been awarded a Centenary Medal for his contribution to Queensland industry and commerce.
