This valve opens and closes by means of a diaphragm. This linear motion valve allows the user to start, control, and stop the fluid flow. The diaphragm is linked to the compressor via a stud that is moulded into the diaphragm. Since the compressor can be raised and lowered with the help of the valve stem, the diaphragm will rise in response to a rising compressor.
A diaphragm valve may have two or more ports. In order to restrict the flow of the medium, they are employed to limit the area where it can enter and exit the valve. The flexible seal used in this type of valve is used to control how often it opens and closes. The diaphragms are constructed from elastomer. These kinds of valves often use pneumatic actuators as their operating mechanism.
The flexible diaphragm is connected to the compressor, which serves as a stand-in for the closing element. When the valve is opened, the diaphragm is raised out of the flow path, streamlining the flow of the fluid. When the valve is closed, the diaphragm is securely seated against the weir, a seat within the body. Driving the diaphragm lower will completely close the valve. Because the valve stem is not in the flow path, stem packing is not necessary for this valve. Compared to ordinary standard valves, these valves require less maintenance. Since the diaphragm is primarily made of rubberized material, these valves can be used in environments with highly corrosive elements.
