A globe valve is a linear motion valve that controls flow by starting, stopping, and adjusting it. A globe valve has a spherical body with a moving disc and a stationary ring seat. The valve stem lowers or rises a disc when the handle is twisted, whether manually or automatically through an actuator. When the disc is entirely lowered, the fluid flow stops. When the disc is fully lifted, the fluid flow is at its greatest.
