4th Healthcare IT India Summit 2016

The 4th Annual Healthcare IT India Summit, an annual gathering of healthcare professionals across the region was inaugurated yesterday at the ITC Gardenia, Bangalore, State of Karnataka.
 
18 May 2016, Bangalore: The summit started off with opening remarks by the summit chair Dr. Sanjeev Bagai, Manipal Hospital Dwarka – Chairman & Managing Director Nephron Clinics & Vice chairman & Director – New Delhi.

Day one commenced with an inaugural opening address from Dr. Sharan Prakash R. Patil, Hon'ble Minister for Medical Education & Chairman of Hyderabad-Karnataka Region Development Board (HKRDB), State of Karnataka followed by Dr. Surya Bali, All India Medical Association Bhopal, Nodal Officer – Telemedicine Centre, Bhopal who spoke about how “Telehealth and telemedicine” will be a boon for India's healthcare sector.

Following these presentations and discussion's the second session concentrated on what were the Deliverables in digital smart hospitals by Dr. Sanjeev Bagai, Manipal Hospital Dwarka and how IT in digital health will enable patient centric healthcare in India from Dr. Greg Kelaart-Courtney, CSC Global Senior Solution Principal. Furthermore some of the C'suite professional from the healthcare industries also engaged in a panel discussion.

Speaking about the role of CRM & ORM in creating the future was Sandeep KM, Sakra World Hospital General Manager, Bengaluru and Tapesh Kumar Agarwal of Meddiff Technologies presented his views on Cloud Based (Picture Archiving Communication System) PACS Deployment. Some of the eminent speakers were also seen in a panel discussion about The dynamic role of CIO's in the healthcare industry. Concluding the session was Baljit Singh Bedi from Centre for Development for Advanced Computing, Soc. under Ministry of Communication & IT, Govt.of India, Advisor, New Delhi spoke about the importance of EHR & EMR Solutions in India

The summit concluded with Dr. Tony D. S. Raj, St. John's Research Institute debriefing the audience on how to cope up with technology during down time and also learn't the role of IT in improving healthcare Eco-system from Glenys Sequera, Wenzins Technology Advisory Bengaluru.

With this said, the final day of the summit will en-compose a wide range of expert having discussion's on Innovation for Better Patient Care, Technology for Transformation and Cognitive Computing in Healthcare to name a few. These beneficial discussions will sum up the summit and pave a clear way to ensure that the Healthcare industry in India will be clear of roadblocks that hinder its growth. The summit will create better and possibly the best opportunity for the industry to bloom in its current form.
