Nicely put. The OG customer is a deal. Not to RuneScape players who play 12 hours a day for the past five decades but logging in. Exactly, and people first time in 15year RuneScape players would be the ones Jagex should hook for RuneScape to develop. It is a personal decision to 19, if they choose to switch to something like RL. OSRS must feel familiar to bring back anyone. Completely disagree. You are suggesting they should increase their CAC to concentrate only on bringing in fresh RuneScape players when those might not be the gain to their own profit. I won't make a claim because I haven't seen their fiscal numbers and numbers but I'd love to find out whether the"sweaty" players burning through bonds and/or membership for numerous accounts (chief, ironman, HCIM, Leagues, etc.) don't really out weigh their earnings derived from new RuneScape players.

You seem like someone who would just be interested in lining up also the upcoming few years and investors pockets profits rather than growing RuneScape for everyone. I'm reacting to a conversation being had about OSRS and Jagex as a organization. If you feel the men and women who may flip the switch and turn off OSRS do not care about gain you're being naive.

Give a"heritage" client and a"updated" client, possibly? Just spit balling here, I concur with the majority of your points, however if Jagex wanted to make RL an official customer they might still offer the old client (or at least a skin of it). That would help ensure the nostalgia or anything else it is that you like about the vanilla customer can be obtained while also giving fresh RuneScape players access to your client with extra usefulness, without having to be concerned about the dubious nature of 3rd party customers in RuneScape. I agree that using choices is ideal. It comes down to maintaining two clients is more money spent for money returned and the cash, and likely isn't worth the expense/headache. There's a reason one client is simply offered by firms with games than Jagex, and when they offer a legacy client, it's only supported for a limited amount of time.

Buying something since it is better out is something that happens all the time. Google buys startups that are new all the time. If a person made something better to your game making it such as if it had been your own merit and buying but is great. Google has infinity funds than Jagex. Also, Google buys until they develop their own legs start-ups to absorb them and it competes in certain centre using a Google service. In the software space, first to market is important, and Facebook will then possibly use it in order to compete against Google, if Google doesn't score the applications. Microsoft used to do the same thing.
