[Healthcare City, 18 November, 2016] – The Swiss International Scientific School in Dubai (SISD) offers immersive bilingual programmes in either French or German, as well as a strong English programme with additional languages. The institution aims to form their students into dynamic, flexible, and linguistically ambitious international students.

Bilingual Streams

SISD offers two bilingual programs from KG2 to Grade 9: English/French and English/German. These programmes include listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. The language input is age-appropriate and lexically and structurally rich.

The school has a commitment to early immersion because it allows children to be in command of a language at a highly functional level. As such, their immersion involves English, French and German as the languages of instruction instead of solely being ‘language courses’.

Furthermore, students attend Arabic lessons as a mother tongue or additional language in compliance with UAE legislation.

English + Stream

In addition to the bilingual programme, SISD offers the English with an additional language programme. It accommodates students who want an alternative to the full bilingual immersive programme without sacrificing the challenge and rigour of an International Baccalaureate education.

This stream teaches all subjects in English and offers daily additional language lessons. Students may choose between French and German, but they also study Arabic.

Moreover, they offer Italian, Spanish and Chinese as after-school activities.
